May and June 2026 Edition 

Hello fiber artists!   I have been very delinquent regarding my blog duties.  So several editions will have to come out at once.

UPCOMING EVENTS: 

Guild Meeting: Meetings were held May 16 and June 15, 2026.  Next meeting is Monday, July 20, 2026.

Retreats and Conferences:

BUELLWOOD RETREAT: This retreat will be September 26 and 27, 2026 at the Marsin Center in the Hancock/Houghton Michigan area.  We will have classes and camaraderie!  It's a great time in a beautiful setting.

Nancy brought a sweater, a felted kit from Moy Mckay and a shawl that is assigned pooling.







Nate's rug won the rug challenge at MHL and he sent the pattern off to make swag!












Nate also dyed a guitar case.





Melissa Mattson showed us weaving a la Janet Phillips that she made while taking a zoom class.



Mary M brought her ceramic heads.



Kari brought a turkish spinner and some yarn that she made




Karen T showed a basket with diamonds, willow stars, eco printing on a birch basket, a cedar basket, her grandma's quilt and a shirt she found at a sale.






Karen M brought her kumihomo braider and the shoelaces she braided.



Gretchen brought some bangladeshi embroidery and quilt as well as a felted piece she made.





Ginger brought a butterfly block.


Denise displayed some socks, a sweater and some weaving she did in a class in Traverse City, MI





David brought in a jacket he made from cloth he wove.




Bonnie showed us her needle point and some weaving.
