Buellwood Weavers and Fiber Guild Workshop

Join the Buellwood Weavers and Fiber Guild for an outstanding weekend of learning about the Fiber Arts on September 17 and 18, from 9-5p.m. at the Marsin Retreat Center in Houghton, MI.   Register at krehercreation@charter.net or call 281-8388.  Bring a dish to pass for lunch.  You are welcomed to join this group at that time.

Informal class instruction will be on a variety or areas and include; at least two looms for weaving, drop spindle spinning, birch bark star, and beading. 

There will be a fiber and equipment exchange table(s) where you might find your next project or a new tool.

The Buellwood Weaver and Fiber Guild began with Dorothea Buell in Chassell Michigan. She had 17 looms at her home and developed a 17 member  weaving guild. The Buellwood Weaver and Fiber Guild has been in existence since the early 1950's and has varied in size between 20 - 26 members.

The Buellwood Weaver and Fiber Guild holds monthly meetings the 3rd Monday of each month at 12:00 noon at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Hancock, Michigan with the year starting in October. A fiber program is presented followed by a Show and Tell session and a business meeting.  New members are always welcome to our monthly meetings.   For more information about the guild go check out http://mwc2011.blogspot.com/.
