Hello fiber artists!  The snow has fallen, and fallen, and fallen.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

Guild Meeting: Our next meeting is January 17, 2026 at 1:00 pm EST.  During the winter months, our meetings are on Saturdays.  .

Retreats and Conferences:

BUELLWOOD RETREAT: This retreat will be September 26 and 27, 2026 at the Marsin Center in the Hancock/Houghton Michigan area.  We will have classes and camaraderie!  It's a great time in a beautiful setting.

MICHIGAN LEAGUE OF HANDWEAVERS: The next conference will be in June of 2026.  The conference will be in Marquette Michigan.  This is a great opportunity to go to the conference when it is close (relatively).  Also, the national exhibit of Small Expressions will be at Northern University at the same time.

SHOW AND TELL PHOTOS DECEMBER MEETING 2025:

This is Gretchen's Christmas stocking for her daughter's partner.  Some hand dyed yarn there.

Melissa's tablet weaving for the key fobs.

David's knit scarf in progress.  His sweater knit by someone in New Mexico using yarn spun from David's alpacas, and two towels he wove for his mother many years ago that she never used.

The first and only sweater Kathie knit when she was newly wed.

Polly has been knitting dolly Christmas gifts for a needy child.

Nate's patriotic hoodie... stars and striped tigers.  And a rug he wove using tee shirts from veterans' protests.  He and Marci did a trade.

Jade's students' appliqués

The ryijy Marci wove and is trading to Nate.  And her Peter Collingwood study using thrift store acrylics.

Claire made a christmas stocking from naturally dyed sheets.

baskets Karen wove at a retreat at Seivers

Phyllis showed a birdseye rug and overshot and plain weave runner just off the loom.

CORRECTION: In the August Blog, I misnamed Annie's projects as someone else's.  These are Annie's weaving.

SPECIAL TREAT:  Melissa made more embroidered balls.  She mentioned that her favorite were the ones with concentric circles.
