For our April meeting Karen Tembruell prepared kits for us to weave her Cedar Frog.
It was fun to make these little creatures with Karen. She prepared the Cedar strips for us in kits. I learned that they can also be made with watercolor paper, even Painted watercolor paper!
Starting by using the wet cedar from our kits, fold and weave, fold and weave and the little frog appears.
Hand woven Towel Round Robin Five warps on five looms
Five opps Six weavers with five personal choices for wefts.
Individuals who joined the open loom access offered by the Finnish American Folk School were included in this Weaving Round Robin. The results are wonderful and the weavers were able to try out weaving different weave structures.
Was there a warp they loved to weave or a warp that was a huge challenge?
All towels were woven in 8/2 cotton.
